MB VFX

ABOUT

Since starting my career in VFX, which now spans 10 years, I have had the privilege of working in some amazing team environments on high-end feature work, from Star Wars Episode 2 through to Avatar. Enabling me to be richly involved with the many processes that encircle the effects industry, such as practical effects of prosthetics, animatronic and onset work, plus the VFX world of post production, with matchmove, modelling, shaders and texture work.Which has seen me moving from various high profile establishments in those 10 years. Namely Weta Digital, Framestore, Double Negative, and Digital Domain and Rhythm and Hues.

Most recently my career has been moving further into the realm of Surfacing with textures and shaders. Which has opened the door to do work on environments, props and creature work. During this time I have also been moved into more senior roles with in being a lead Texture artist on Avatar and also John Carter of Mars.

Over this 10 year period I have become a multi-skilled artist, who not only seeks to continue to develop my skills set across my current department but the entire process of visual effects. Whilst possessing the ability to fit well and lead in a new team environment, and rapidly become affiliated with new and changing techniques and skills that are synonymous with this industry.
